The ACA AC Selectors call for Expressions of Interest (EoI) by all interested Association Croquet players who would like to play in this prestigious event.

Entries: EoI can be sent to ACA Events Chair, Peter Freer, at pfreer@netspeed.com.au with a closing date of 31 August 2023. Depending on entry numbers, late entries may be accepted to fill the four Eights but better to be safe and enter early.

Format: The event will be four open Eights of 8 players in each event, but the fourth Eight may be a women’s event if the EoIs received make this a better format for all the players entering. All Eights will be a double round robin of single games. Each Eight will be filled based on players’ grade on 31st August 2023, but there is a provision in each of the 4 Eights that up to 2 wildcards may be chosen outside of the player’s current grade.

Eligibility: All ACA affiliated players can submit an EoI, with a requirement to have played a minimum of 20 games in the 12 months to 31st August 2023. Players who have not played 20 games are still welcome to submit an EoI and be considered for a wildcard.

Entry fee: $300, with a travel reimbursement scheme operating after ACA costs are deducted.

Croquetscores: EoIs will be placed on Croquetscores as received. Please check https://croquetscores.com/2023/ac/australia-presidents-eights/eoi to make sure that your name is on the list of entrant as confirmation that your entry has been received. Contact Peter Freer (email above) ASAP if your name does not appear.
