Victoria has emerged victorious at the 2024 Eire Cup, winning 74 matches and losing only 26. After finishing in second place for two years in a row, the team was determined to be at the top of the table this time around. Led by Captain Chris Grant, the Victorians did not lose a single match throughout the tournament. The runner-up team, South Australia, only lost one match to the victorious Victorians.

The event was hosted by Croquet Tasmania across multiple locations including Sandy Bay, Rosny Park, Eastern Shore, Kingston, and New Town. The teams event provides a great opportunity to bring the croquet community together. “We appreciate all the players and volunteers who have worked hard to prepare for the tournament, and we hope everyone had a great time on the court,” said Croquet Australia CEO Kristie Middleton, thanking Croquet Tasmania for hosting the Eire Cup.

With the Eire Cup win, Victoria achieved a clean sweep across the fortnight, winning both the Singles championships and the team event.
