The World Croquet Federation has announced the ranked players for the upcoming GC World Championships in Chesapeake Bay, Virginia.
150 entries were received for the 80 player event with the WCF Management Committee allocating the following places:
- Ranking Places = 37
- Wild Cards = 2
- Membership Places = 37
- Qualifiers = 4
From the 37 allocated ranked positions, 3 were given to Australians Robert Fletcher, Malcolm Fletcher and Jamie Gumbrell. The places were awarded based on the Initital Ranking List as at 2 April 2024.
Addison Matthews was given a Wild Card entry into the event along with Adam Barr from Canada.
There are 2 Membership Places available to Croquet Australia players who were not allocated a ranked position, with the WCF to award the positions after 16 May.
In total, Australia has 6 places for our members:
- Ranking Places = 3
- Wild Card = 1
- Membership Places = 2
